Orihuela Costa is a coastal area administratively belonging to the municipality of Orihuela and partly bordering Torrevieja, located south of Torrevieja and approximately 50 minutes from Alicante Airport. It is not a single town but a long stretch of districts and residential areas extending along the Mediterranean coastline. The most important include Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Dehesa de Campoamor and Mil Palmeras, as well as inland residential and golf areas such as Villamartín, Los Dolses, La Rioja, Lomas de Cabo Roig, Las Filipinas, Blue Lagoon, Los Altos, Dream Hills and the PAU 8 surroundings.
The region is one of the most popular property purchase locations on the southern Costa Blanca. It combines direct proximity to the sea with very well-developed infrastructure and a large international community, which allows it to function all year round, not only during the summer season.
