Gran Alacant is a large residential district administratively belonging to the town of Santa Pola, located about 15 minutes from Alicante Airport and around 20 minutes from the centre of Alicante. It sits on a gentle elevation above the sea, which provides views from many points over the coastline, the Bay of Alicante and Tabarca Island.
It is not a traditional town with a historic centre, but a modern residential area made up of urbanisations, townhouses, bungalows and apartments.
