Guardamar del Segura is a coastal town located about 30 km south of Alicante and only 10–15 minutes from Torrevieja. It has a more natural character than many Costa Blanca resorts, as a large part of the coastline consists of protected dune areas and pine forests. For this reason, the town is especially appreciated by people looking for a quieter lifestyle close to the sea and nature.
The most characteristic features of the landscape are the kilometres of sand dunes and the pine parks Parque Reina Sofía and Parque Alfonso XIII, which form a green belt separating the town from the beaches and creating a pleasant microclimate.
Guardamar has some of the widest and most natural beaches on the Costa Blanca. These are long sandy stretches with gentle access to the sea, ideal for walking and everyday use throughout the year.
