Ciudad Quesada is a large residential urbanisation located in the municipality of Rojales, about 8–10 km from the beaches of Guardamar del Segura and approximately 45 minutes from Alicante Airport. It was developed as a residential neighbourhood and has maintained its character as a place to live rather than a typical holiday resort.
The town is situated on a gentle elevation, which allows open views from many streets and terraces over the surrounding area, the Torrevieja and La Mata lagoons and, on clear days, even the sea. It is one of the most inhabited year-round locations on Costa Blanca South, particularly popular among residents from various European countries.
